Christmas is coming! šāš
And if you're someone who hasn't completed their Christmas shopping or you are struggling for ideas...here's some food for thought.
GIFT TIME, ADVENTURE AND MEMORIES!! š²
We've all seen those mountains of toys, that same mountain of toys that has to be found a home once Christmas day is over. Eventually we're going to run out of room and the toys will be spilling out of boxes and we wish we had more space or storage!
We've all fought through the shops in a total despair at the chaos, panic and stress that Christmas shopping can bring. Wondering what the perfect gift will be, what does that person want/need? Picking up random items in the hope they will be liked and so that special person knows that you thought of them.
Make life easier, gift an experience. This doesn't have to be expensive.....there's lots of deals on Groupon, Wowcher, Virgin Experience Days and other discount sites or through a particular attraction themselves. Many attractions offer vouchers now.
If money is a little tight, gift time, take the children (or adult!) out for an adventure....on the beach, in the woods, the choice is endless. Pack an afternoon tea to enjoy in a location of your choice or a flask of hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Now, "But it's nice to have things to open!"....true; I've bought into the commercialism just as much as the next person but experiences can be FUN to receive too.
šWe've had a "pop the balloon-Russian Roulette" with attraction "tickets" inside!
ša golden ticket exchange
šand even a treasure hunt with clues to the tickets.
What about a "Movie Box"?.....pick and mix, drinks, popcorn and a voucher for the cinema. š
We will be opening presents this Christmas morning but we will have adventures and experiences gifted too, so Christmas can keep giving throughout the year. ššš
A few of the experience gifts we received last year were a trip to Santa,Knockhatch Adventure Park, Monkeyworld, The London Bridge Experience & London Tombs, we were also gifted money which we put towards a Merlin Annual Pass!!
