Calshot Activities Centre

Whizzing down a dry ski-slope in a donut, what better way to spend a cold, wet, February Tuesday? We checked out the ringoes at Calshot Activities Centre. As we entered the hanger, the kids were overwhelmed at the height and gradient of the climbing walls to the left of the entrance, although I think they would need alot more practice (and overcome the fear of heights) before being able to accomplish anything of that scale. We headed over to check in and on arrival, a session had just ended and another had begun so had to wait 30 minutes for the next session. This wasn't a problem as it gave us time to explore. We were booked in quickly, handed a coloured band and instructed when our session time would start.

Calshot is home to a velodrome, climbing walls and ski slopes which are all housed inside. All of which the children were keen to see (and use 😁) Our session started promptly and everyone was off up the hill, dragging their ringoes and ready to slide on down. Staff were friendly and helpful and insured safety rules were followed. Sessions are limited to 30 minutes at busy periods but we were very lucky and were able to use the slope for an hour and a half 😊👍👍 We hope to be able to visit again soon, maybe for a skiing lesson next time 😊 ⛷🏂 🌟🌟Good to know: It can be cold in the centre, you may need coats. Gloves are compulsory. Long sleeves and sensible shoes recommended. £8.50 per person, sessions may be limited to 30 mins. No need to pre book- just pay and play. Cafe and Toilet facilities on site. Car parking charges £2.50 (up to 2 hours) £4 (up to 4 hours) £6 all day. Beach close by. RESTRICTED TIMETABLE SO ALWAYS CHECK WEBSITE BEFORE HEADING OVER. #lifesanadventureblog
